About College The Base-ball Team has begun indoor work under the direction of Captain R. A. Monks. The floor of the gymnasium, when cleared, gives the candidates plenty of room for tossing the ball. Among the members of last year's 'Varsity, who have begun training, are : Shattuch, Ryan, Hildreth, Miller, and Stewart. Manager Nichols has already arranged a schedule for the Southern trip during Easter week East Friday afternoon the Barnard Eiterary Association elected the following board of officers for the coming term : Shepherd Knapp, Jr. '94, President; W. M. Mason '95, VicePresident, and E. F. Elgas '97, Secretary. Captain Eawson, of the Mott Haven Team, visited Princeton last Saturday for the purpose of arranging with Captain Swain the usual dual athletic contest between Princeton and Columbia. Valedictorian —Shepherd Knapp, Jr. Committee Chairman, Henry Merwin Shrady; Paul Armitage, Joseph Peter Grace, Philip Benkard, William Walter Cook, and Harold Sharpe Emerson. The Historian, A. C. Phillips, Jr., is President of the revived Philolexian Eiterary Society. He has taken honors in Greek, Rhetoric and Eatin, and was elected in his Junior year to the Columbian Board. The Poet, E- H.
