Philo Elects Officers; Sturdevant President John U. Sturdevant '34 of New York City will be president of Philolexian Society during the Spring semester, having been elected at the weekly meeting of the organization Tuesday evening. Other officers are: Donald Tillman '34 of Medina, New York., vice president; Forrest Lomboer '35 of Freeport, New York, secretary; Frederick Colwell '35 of La Grangeville, New York, treasurer; and G. K. Plochmann '36 of New York City, librarian. Sturdevant is a member of Psi Upsilon fraternity. Tillman belongs to Sigma Alpha Epsilon, and is president of the Senior Class. Colwell is a member of Phi Delta Theta, while Lombaer and Plochmann are unaffiliated.

Philolexian Elects Lawrence, LaTouche 1934 -35 Officers Schuyler Lawrence '35 and J. Trevilie LaTouche '37 were elected president and vice-president, respectively, of Philolexian Society for 1934-35 at the last meeting of the academic year. Other officers follow: Milton Crane '37, secretary, Robert E. Gibney, '37, treasurer, and Kimball Plochmann '36, librarian. Singer and Giroux Elected In the presidential election, Lawrence gained the victory over LaTouche by a narrow margin. The Society then chose LaTouche vice-president. The only other business of the evening was the election of Graham P. Singer '35 and Robert F. Giroux '36 to the Society. Philolexian Society was recently the subject of a heated Campus argument when it conducted a poetry reading in a darkened room to the accompaniment of piano music.
