Pulitzer for The Caine Mutiny; later The Winds of War and War and Remembrance. Among the most commercially successful Philolexian novelists of the twentieth century. The Caine Mutiny won the Pulitzer for Fiction in 1952. The Winds of War (1971) and War and Remembrance (1978) bookended a long career that ran almost to his hundredth birthday.

Noted Alumni Joined Tribute To Uncle Ben About 160 prominent Columbia College alumni appeared at the Columbia University Club dinner last night to honor Ben Hubbard. In addition many hundreds of alumni who could not be present last night sent letters and checks to the retiring Director of King's Crown Activities. Among the more notable alumni present at the dinner Was the toastmaster, Henry Morton Robinson '23. Mr. Robinson edited "Varsity" magazine as an undergraduate and served as president of the Philolexian Society. He is a well-known author and critic and has written such novels as "The Cardinal." Other well-known people who were active in King's Crown affairs as College students attended the dinner.
