BALLOT FOR STUDENT BOARD ON WEDNESDAY Six Men to be Elected to Student Board and Three to Columbian. Although the ballots for the Student Board elections could not be prepared in time to have the elections today, they will be ready by Wednesday. The elections will therefore be held on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday of this week. The polls will be in Earl Hall and will be open from 9:00 A. M. to 5:00 P. M. daily. There are twenty-five candidates running for the Student Board and sixteen for the 1918 Columbian Board. Out of these, six are to be elected to the Student Board and three to the Columbian. All undergraduates may vote in the elections for the Student Board, no matter what school they come from. They may also vote for the six candidates whether college, science or Journalism. HEAVY FIRST DAY VOTE IN S. B. ELECTIONS Every Registered Student in the University Entitled to Cast a Vote. Yesterday's vote for the Student Board was quite heavy. The voting will remain open today and tomorrow and every student should make it a point to cast his vote. The polls are open in the Trophy Room of Earl Hall from 9:00 A. M. to 5:00 P. M. Owing to some confusion as to the eligibility of voters, the Student Board announced yesterday that all students registered in the University are eligible to vote. This included Law men as well. No restriction is made as to what school a man comes from. All voters must vote for six men and any ballots having more or less than six names indicated will be thrown out. NO SLUMP AS YET IN HEAVY VOTING All Members of University Except Extension Students Allowed to Vote. POLLS CLOSE AT 5:00 P. M. Much more interest has been shown in the Student Board elections this year was manifested last year in the same time. On the first day of the elections this year a total of 359 votes were cast which is more than twice as many as last year, when the vote was only 159. The number of votes cast on the first day this year surpasses the record for many years past. Yesterday's vote was somewhat smaller since only 223 ballots were cast. This is, however, nearly as large a figure as last year when 271 people voted on the second day. Last year's total for the first two days of the elections is far below that of this year.
