PHILO Names Miner President at Annual Election of Officers Roy W. Miner '32 J of New York City was elected president of Philolexian So ciety at a meeting of the Society last night. Tiberius C. De Marinis of New York City of the Class of 1932 was chosen treasurer while James G. Leippert of Albany, N. Y. and Joseph A. Danyish of San Antonio, Texas, were named to the offices of secretary and vice-president, respectively. Miner, the new president, elected to succeed John Nye Webb, has been active in many stage productions. He has been connected with Varsity Show for the last three years and has been a member of the Players Club, recently being elected vice-president of that group. Philolexian WHS Elect At First Meeting Of Year Tonight General plans for the 130 th year of Philolexian, campus literary society, were announced yesterday. The program for the Winter will open tonight when officers will be elected at a meeting in the Philo Room, 417 John Jay, at 8:30 o'clock. More time will be devoted by the society this year to round table discussions on various fields of literature, and a considerable amount of work will be done in connection with Varsity, undergraduate literary publication. During the spring semester a group of one-act plays will be given if financially possible. The usual yearly series of exhibits of rare books, bookplates and literary material, gathered from the collections ot members, will be inaugurated in the near future with a showing of early etchings and engravings, of the period from Albrecht Durer to Rembrandt. Burke, Doscher Elected To Philo Offices Philolexian Society elected John Burke '32 last night to fill the office of president made vacant by the resignation of Roy Miner. William Doscher '32 was chosen vice-president, that position having fallen vacant through lapse on the part of Joseph Danysh '3l in attending meetings of the society. Burke is a member of the Debate Squad, and president of the Civic League, campus non-partisan organization. He won the quadrennial Philo prize which was given last year. The society will hold a tea tomorrow at 4:30 P.M. at which Professor Raymond Weaver will be present. According to Burke, Philo will make a strenuous atempt this year to strengthen its position as a leader of campus thought.

New Jester-Review Board Submitted By Philolexians Needs Approval of Hoffman, Lawrence, Society Elects Wietzner, Ginsberg, Crosset As Next Year's Officers Philolexian merged its revived organization with JesterReview officially last week by electing new officers for the Society and selecting an editorial panel for the magazine to be submitted to Theodore Hoffman and Seymour Lawrence, out-going Jester-Review editorial board, for final approval. In the Society's own elections, held in the Browsing Room on the third floor of South Hall, Richard Weitzner was chosen president, Allen Ginsberg vicepresident, and John Crossett as Treasurer.
