'WHY MARRY?' CLOSES AFTER THREE NIGHTS Philo Show Completes Successful Run in McMillin Theatre. After the mos't successful run of a Philolexian Show in some years, "Why Marry?", the fifteenth annual production of the literary society, closed last evening. The play was produced on last Saturday evening for the first time in the McMillin Academic Theatre. "Why Marry", the Pulitzer prize play in 1917, was a sharp break in the policy of the Philo dramatic presentations. Heretofore they have generally been Elizabethan plays but the Society this season decided to abandon the Shakespearian slyle that had grown up, and chose the Jesse Lynch Williams social comedy as most suitable for their purposes.
