WILL HOLD PHILO TRYOUTS FRIDAY Seventeen Undergraduates Invited to Speak as Candidates For Membership. ANNUAL PLAY DISCUSSED Will Try To Present Production In Horace Mann Auditorium This Year. As a result of the meeting of the Philolexian Literary society held last evening, seventeen students have been invited to speak before the society in trial for membership. They are: S. Horan 'lB, E. Kemp 'l9, F. Tannenbaum 'l9, Vollmers '2O, F. Dietrich '2O, L. Madero '2O, C. Garland '2O, S. Guiler '2O, W. Beckett '2O, H. Forster '2O, L. Jones '2O, H. Agar '2O, H. Helwig '2O, V. Millbank '2O, T. Curran '2O, W. Anderson '2O, and G. Raymond '2O. The try-outs will Be held on Friday evening of this week in Earl Hall. In extending the privilege of speaking the society has observed the timehonored precedent of inviting only those men who have been undergraduates in Columbia for at least a year.…
