Phi Beta Kappa Elects Two Society Honors Altmar and Hyman-Inaugurates Public Ceremony Today Leon L. Altman '3l, of Brooklyn and Irwin I. Hyman '3l of Atlantic City, N. J., were elected to membership in the Columbia chapter of Phi Beta Kappa, the national honorary scholastic fraternity, it was announced last night by Edward B. Fox 'l6, president of the local chapter. Mr. Fox also issused an invitation to all interested in Phi Beta Kappa to attend the annual Public Ceremonies of the Columbia chapter to be held this evening in 301 Philosophy Hall. With the election of Altman and Hyman, the number of Seniors to be honored this year by the society whose membership has been generally voted "the highest undergraduate honor has been raised to thirty-three, thirty-one men having been chosen at the regular election held in April.
