PHILOLEXIAN ELECTS FOUR NEW MEMBERS Literary Society Meets Tonight in 418 John Jay Hall For Readings. Four new members have been elected to the Philolexian Society. They are Joseph A. Danysh '3O, Kenesaw Landis '29, William T. Matthews '3O and Millen Brand '29. Landis and Matthews are members of the debating team afid Brand is Managing Editor of "Varsity". Tonight a reading: of Max Beerbohm's "A Social Success" will be given in the society's meeting room in John Jay. Following the reading the work will be informally discussed. At previous meetings this Fall Dr. Henry Wells of the Graduate English Department conducted a reading of "Epicene, or the Silent Woman". Henry A. Ladd of the English Department spoke on "Art Crtitcism" and Professor George C. D. Odel, sponsor of the society, has led several of the discussions on leading works.
