TRYOUTS FOR PHILO CANDIDATES WILL BE CONDUCTED THIS WEEK Preliminary try-outs for the Philolexian Literary Society will be held tomorrow and Thursday, George G. Raddin Jr. '29, president of the society, announced yesterday. Announcement will be made in tomorrow's Spectator where, and at what hours, they will be held. Philolexian elects new members to the society only once a year, the elections taking place after the annual try-outs, which are open to the entire undergraduate body. Under the system now in use, the candidates for membership first appear, singly, before a small group of members of the society who seek to find out each candidate's chief interests. KIMBERLAND TO HEAD MORNINGSIDE BOARD Is Chosen New Editor-in-Chief of Next Year's Magazine. Membership of the 1928 Managing, Literary and Art Boards of Morningside was announced yesterday by Roy M. Z. Moskowitz '27, outgoing editor. The new editor-in-chief is Kendall Kimberland '29, the associate editor, Walter Joeck '2B and the business manager, Gerard P. Meyer '3O. Kendall Kimberland has been prominent in University activities, taking the part of "King John" in the Philo production, and being associated with the Glee Club and Philolexian Society.
